“Can You Go To the Note?” Opening Audition a Smash!

The first of a three-day audition process for Binghamton-area singing competition Can You Go To the Note? took place at the Bundy Museum annex and was a rousing success. Devon Wright, owner of The Wright Style barber shop on Oak Street in Binghamton, hosted the event along with a panel of three judges. The atmosphere was happy and friendly as a large number of hopefuls of every age and ability turned out to give it all they had.

The competition’s sponsors, including WJOB-FM and Carpe Diem, have promised a phenomenal top prize to the winner, which includes:

—$3,000 worth of studio time and production at OnPoint Productions
—Guaranteed airplay of your new single on WJOB-FM
—Your single released on iTunes
—Regional TV spots on MTV and BET promoting your iTunes release!

There are two more days of auditions, tonight and tomorrow. So if you think you might like to hear your song on the radio, come on down! Tonight’s audition (March 19th) is 7:00pm at the Undergrounds Coffeehouse at Binghamton University. Tomorrow (March 20th) is 11:00am at the SUNY-Broome cafeteria.

The names of finalists will be announced Monday, March 24th, on WJOB-FM. And the chosen will compete at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Binghamton beginning April 4th.
