    Dog versus bear. Who wins? If the bear is tethered to a long chain, and there is more than one dog, then it's an even match. With that in mind, spectators bet on which will be the last critter standing.
    In olden days, bears would become stars and celebrities if they proved particularly adept at mastering the dogs. The longer their careers, the higher their star would rise and one such bear -- named Sackerson -- was immortalized in Shakespeare's "Merry Wives of Windsor." The Globe Theatre itself hosted many a bear-baiting match, and if it was good enough for the bard, it's good enough -- and a rollicking good time -- for the likes of us!
