WELCOME TO THE
NATIONAL POLICE GAZETTE
Covering crime, sports, celebrities, and all things sensational since 1845.
The National Police Gazette is a legendary American publication that originally ran for over 130 years and invented most of what we take for granted in today's pop-culture journalism. Playboy, Sports Illustrated, Variety, the National Enquirer, Guinness World Records, Life, Esquire, Maxim, crime sheets like The Slammer, plus The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Howard Stern.... The list goes on; the Police Gazette did it first. So why "Police?" Because it also invented the John Walsh show America's Most Wanted. Today, the Police Gazette is back. We are the official sanctioning body of professional bare-knuckle boxing through the Police Gazette Boxing Corporation. We publish new content online, put out compilations of classic content from the past, provide a research service that has aided everyone from major museums and Hollywood producers to the general public, restore and offer for sale the great works of art found in old Gazettes, and manage Police Gazette trademarks and copyrights. We also house the official Police Gazette archive.
